A Bit About Me

Hello, my name is Joseph Sims, but ever since I was able to walk and talk, people have called me Joey. I have been an entertainer ever since  I could remember, and I naturally flowed into that when I began performing in Christian Youth Theater (CYT). CYT was the launching platform for my love of theater and ultimately ended up leading me to major in theater at vanguard University of Southern California. Attending a Christian college afforded me the opportunity fall into a deeper love with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was able to take multiple Bible classes. Now that I am a graduate I have a lot of opportunity to figure out exactly what I want to do with life, as well as working a low income part time job. Directing and teaching with CYT both came naturally and my first show is ready to begin in about 3 weeks.

I have found over the past 6 months that my cause and purpose on this earth is to help develop and usher in the newer generations, basically I care about youth. It has also come to my attention in the past three months that there is Peace in Pain and we should try to experience peace through pain. I believe with all my heart that God doesn’t abandon us through our painful moments in life, instead he is living alongside us being very empathetic toward us. This is what my blog will feature. Sure there will be posts like Movie Mondays and other random things I care about; however the mission of this blog is for you to question your pain and to have a better understanding and overall relationship with Christ. Thanks for coming, I would not have a reason to write without all of you, and I am overjoyed with the amount of friends, family members, and strangers who have viewed this blog in its short life. Thank you. Isaiah 61:1-3
